What is the Healthcare Quality Foundation? (HQF)
HQF is a separately incorporated, philanthropic affiliate of NAHQ. Its mission is to promote education and professional development within the field of healthcare quality. HQF offers a series of grants throughout the year, including the State Educational Grant, New Quality Professional Grant, Career Development Grant, Certification Grant, and a new Leadership Development Grant which will be inaugurated this year. HQF accomplishes its mission through strong vision and leadership, dedicated volunteers, and donations from generous supporters. The number of grants that HQF is able to award each year is driven by the donations received. In 2008, HQF awarded 8 grants in support of healthcare quality professionals and state associations, totaling approximately $9,000.
