American Data Network Issues Call for Applications for 2010 Healthcare Quality Grant

LITTLE ROCK, ARK. (Aug 4, 2010) – American Data Network, an organization that provides platforms for maximizing hospital operating efficiencies and improving patient safety, announced a call for applications for the 2010 Healthcare Quality Grant. Completed applications must be received by American Data Network by Sept. 3. Applications may be downloaded at http://www.americandatanetwork.com/.

The Healthcare Quality Grant was established to forward leadership and innovation in quality, safety and commitment to patient care in Arkansas. Criteria for the grant include original projects or initiatives that improve the safety of patient care, advocate on the patient’s behalf and identify and address health needs within the community. Eligible programs include projects new to a facility and/or existing initiatives in need of additional funding. All acute care and critical access hospitals in Arkansas are eligible to submit applications for consideration.

“Each year, we award the Healthcare Quality Grant to a deserving organization whose initiatives strive to improve the healthcare of Arkansans,” said Cole Williamson, chief executive officer of American Data Network. “We’re proud to partner with healthcare professionals across the state to help enhance performance improvement processes. As always, we’re looking forward to seeing many innovative ideas as we begin the grant selection process.”

The recipient of the $5,000 grant will be notified by Oct. 8. Criteria for the grant application includes:

  • Open, inpatient acute care and critical access hospitals in Arkansas will be considered.
  • Eligible programs include projects new to your facility and/or existing initiatives in need of additional funding. Multiple applications can be submitted. Each application must be submitted independently.
  • A letter of recommendation from the facility administrator in support of the submitted initiative is to accompany each application.
  • Applicants must agree to the use of their institution and a promotional quote by American Data Network to advertise/endorse this program.
  • Applicants must agree to submit details and outcomes of the grant project for use by American Data Network.
  • Six complete copies of the grant application should accompany each entry.
  • The grant recipient will be required to submit follow-up documentation of project outline, implementation and outcomes.
